Nellie Lilja limped off the field and was replaced by Amy Sayer. Malmo FF's communicator Fredrik Stjernström said after the game that Lilja will be further examined in Malmö. Despite the injury setback, Malmo FF managed to secure three crucial points at the top of the table and passed AIK. Malmo FF is now third in the damallsvenskan with the same number of points as the Stockholm team, but with a better goal difference. Djurgården's Aleksandra Lobanova was upset and critical after the game, saying it was 'surt som fan' and 'jävla orättvist' to lose against Malmo FF. Malmo FF's Miljana Ivanovic was pleased with the win and said she knew she would score a goal even before the game. Malmo FF's next game is against Linköping and will be played on May 29.
